ABOUT ACTS

Greatness Has Humble Beginnings

Our Mission

Empowering grass roots community interventions through information, resources, and training that result in positive change to achieve goals and objectives for sustainability.

Our Vision

Transforming communities to empower residents

Our Story

After years of community service and grass roots capacity building, our goal is to share information with current and future community residents and leaders.   Understanding and navigating a sometimes complex and inter-tangled system has led to many being frustrated, sometimes angry and defeated by red tape, brick walls and unhelpful agency staff. If you have encountered this, then you know having a resource can be very helpful. This networking site targets under-served communities seeking to address similar issues related to:

Infrastructure

Environmental injustice

Social injustice

Research has been conducted regarding under-served and underfunded communities, but the solutions to correct the problems are broad.  One size does not fit all. Achieving Community Tasks Successfully/ACTS does not assume to have the solution for your specific issue, but we hope to point you in the direction through networking.  Consensus building and action by residents is still required.

After attending various meetings, it became obvious, that we were not alone.   The many challenges experienced in one community have been duplicated in another.   Generally, the lack of funds, skills, or knowledge are the greatest barriers.  This networking site hopefully will connect you with resources to overcome your barriers.  Resources to empower your community. ACTS is a success if you find helpful information.   If this site provides some efficiency to your community, please let us know.
